Any of you running this with a 340 or 360 with a 355 rear end where does your car upshift closed throttle and wide open, and what are your kick down speeds?? Thanks a bunch...

Does this help?

It would if the car was all original.

Are you having issues with premature upshifts right after a gearswap?

I am having issues with the normal kick down and full throttle.. Thanks so much for the chart.....

Man, where do you guys come with stuff??? I should have bought a 4 speed car like I wanted to, my wife said I was too old.. Thanks so much for the help!!!
Haha. It's an easy adjustment. Do you still have the stock mechanical kickdown or a cable setup?

Per post #5, it seems you may have the wrong Throttle cable bracket.
A 4bbl Throttle cable bracket is different from a 2bbl, and so is the linkrod from the carb to the KD pin. The 2bbl bracket will give you both of the symptoms that you describe.
Whatever you do; do NOT anchor the throttle cable by clamping it on the outside black plastic covered sheath! It has to be clamped on the shiny metal tube-part.

It has cable's, a after market set up, it has a BPE throttle plate with both carb and transmission cables...

I also have a cable kickdown. I found that it operated best when all the slack was taken out of the kickdown lever on the tranny at idle and ensure it pulls it all the way back at WOT. Tightening the cable made the kickdown more responsive to throttle input.

Ok, thanks for all the input, I have to get off the computer, you all have a great evening....

Hello I am sure I am not the first one to have this issue but I am trying to use a 727 on a 273 problem is the crank is not drilled for the 1&7/8" pilot hub on most 727 converters. does anyone know who makes a 727 stall with the 1&1/2" hub?
