Soon I will be putting my engine back in. At the moment I am considering going with a different clutch disc. I have the centerforce dual friction setup. I think I went a little overboard with the clutch for what I am doing. My balance guy removed the weights from the pressure plate, with good reason. Now I am not so sure I want to use the disc that came with the clutch. It has fiber material on one side and the pucks on the other. This is just a street car with the occasional blast for fun. Need opinions on the disc I have and what would be a good alternative. Just looking for something that won't be so harsh on parts.

I agree with removing the weights to balance the thing but why not put them back on? I realize it screws with the balance job (just one more reason I don't care for that set up) but that's how it's designed to be used. Put the weight back on, order up the disc CF says to use and don't try and reengineer the deal.

Just wondering what you mean, "harsh on parts"? I have had the Centerforce DF with my 340 and have light pedal pressure, smooth operation and holds well when I get on it. Haven't had any issues with it in 4 years.
