Anyone happen to have the return spring for the left side of a GLovebox Door for a 1966 dart 270?
Here's a pic of the right side.

Did early A have 2 springs? All my 67 dashes have or had only 1 over center type spring on that door.

I think it needs 2 springs as I can see the holes in the door holder. Problem is with only 1 spring, it forces the door to be cockeyed and not hold tight. I think if I can get the opposite spring installed then it will help center the door and keep it tighter. It is flapping when I accelerate. help......

Hey part 2:
So as luck would have it, my pic a part had a 65 dart that was picked real good, but I found 1 hinge and spring for the glovebox. Got it home, and although I knew the hinge was marked "r" for rightside, I didnt realize that the spring is only for the right??? So what are my chances of finding someone willing to trade me a Left spring for my right spring???

Also has anyone determined that there should be a left spring to begin with? Or did my 66 dart only ever have 1 lonely spring? The left hinge certainly has the holes for the spring

I don't know why they have the holes on the left one. All of the early A cars I've worked on only have right side springs. Four of them on my property right now and they all four only have right side springs.

Maybe the spring is on the other side where the door is on the other side, as in right hand drive builds. Wild guess :)

BTW the hinge on the right, has a big R on it. I didn't remove the left hinge so unsure if it has a L on it.

hummm so maybe I am good? now what the heck do I do with this extra R hinge/spring?

Yup, left hinge has an L on it just like the right. Guess you now need to find an early A body missing the right hinge spring to buy!
