I'm with you. I'm not advocating for people to come here illegally. I'm just saying if there's a market for low-skilled labor, people will find a way to satisfy that market legally or not (same with the market for drugs, guns, etc). We could improve the process by creating a legal path for people who want to work hard in our country and raise their kids as Americans. To me that's something that bleeding-heart liberals and conservatives ought to agree on.

There is nothing wrong with path to citizenship as it stands because it is possible to attain citizenship.

I mentioned a well off family to make the point that not everyone is running from poverty. I never said I used my families' money to advance my relocation agenda. In fact, using their money would translate into doing things their way, so I still had to rely on myself to make things happen for myself.

I am saying, if I was able to cross all the T's and dot all the i's.....what is wrong with everyone doing the same?

If someone can't get themselves into legal status unassisted then they don't belong here
