Unappreciated rock bands...

-
Lotsa great bands! Lots Canadian too. Hard for me to pick underappreciated.
Bad Company, I cant crank it loud enough. Judas Priest is top 3 for me. Seen them several times. 1st concert I ever saw was Defenders of the Faith.
Believe it or not one of.the best concerts I saw was Kid Rock, Rock n Roll Jesus tour. He played every instrument on stage and played awesome!
Scampmike...I forgot all about Accept! Thanks!

OK, here's one that's still touring and producing but are unappreciated. I think they were about 5 years late to the party. Their first album was recorded around 1980ish. I started following them when they were the Shooze playing "splash hops" at the municipal swimming pool ( A LONG TIME AGO!!)

Kix

I'm gonna toss a few out there.

Rough Cutt

Disneyland After Dark

Jorn Lande (Jorn does a lot of absolutely amazing covers, in addition to original material)

Doro Pesch (Like Jorn, she does a lot of amazing covers, in addition to original material)

Type O Negative (Sadly, we'll never see anything new come from them, as the frontman Peter Steele died a few years back)

Type O Negative - Stay Out Of My Dreams

My Late friend, Tim Brooks (RIP) and the Alien Sharecroppers. We were there when this was recorded. Eric Clapton hisself actually went on record to say that Tim was perhaps the best slide guitarist in the world.

I could go into a bunch of metal bands or underrated period .
These are a few of the bands that stand out to me .
Then there's guitarists !!
First on that list to me is
Gary Moore !!!!!!
Phil Lynott was such a great bass player and singer/song writer !!!

One more
Atlanta Rythem Section

I was workin in a two stall service station in 1982 and the owner told me one day to pull in this old green GMC step side for a tune up. It was cold as heck that day and we had the gas heater on in the shop. The customer was standin next to the heater with the shop owner as I pulled the truck in. I got out and was immediately introduced to Ronnie Hammond, lead singer for ARS. We stood around the heater and burned one and then I tuned his truck up. I kept in touch with him right up until his untimely death. He was a super nice guy and one hell of a singer. Always loved that band.

Where was that? I used to sneak into a seedy club in Macon in the late 70s called the Hayloft where Marshall Tucker, ARS, Stillwater, Grinderswitch, Charlie Daniels, Sea Level and even The Allman Brothers used to play. I was WAY too young to be in there, but knew everybody. lol Those were the days.

In Seattle it was called the arena then.
Behind the seattle center.

Have some Stillwater. Seen them a bunch live.

A lot younger than some of the others chiming in here (I just hit 28 3 months ago, and it really got disappointing when I found a few gray hairs popping up in my beard, especially when I was continuing my No-Shave November into a full on "Must Look Like Rob Zombie In Dragula" phase)

But I do enjoy meeting bands, I've attended more than a few concerts (lost count after 50 of em). Got to hang out with Brad Gillis of Night Ranger, the members of LA Guns (Twice), the members of BOC (met them while I was smoking a cigarette during the opening act), Kix, Firehouse, Carmine Appice (actually this was during the BOC concert too, Vanilla Fudge was one of the acts that night), Mark Slaughter (he was drinking with the guys from LA Guns)
