I have a 76 dart sport. The power brake booster, 12" is mounted to a mount that uses a cantilever design and raises the booster and master cylinder up. Does anyone know if it'll clear a 440 swap? Thanks!

Have not done the swap yet or I'd know if it would fit or not. I'm trying to find someone that has done it already with that bracket before I attempt it. If I don't keep my power brakes it's not that important to me to do a swap.

You have 2 options. One is to offset the master cylinder. That will buy you a little space. THe other is to just go manula brakes which is what I did on both of my builds. I like the 7/8" master cylinder. Feels almost like power brakes. I use 4 wheels discs.

Thanks, mine came with power discs and big bolt pattern, which is what I'll keep. But my master is on a mount that appears to take it higher than the manual. So I wondered or it would clear 1st.

Use the 8" booster and the cantilever design, it will work as that is what came on my 69 dart w/440

Do you know whose kit that is?who is your aluminum water pump and housing from?
Both are from e-bay I'd have to look up the seller. my car came factory with power disc but sucked so i bought the kit to upgrade to the later disc and has worked out good for me.

Thanks for the info. I've heard that 440 source water pump housings have narrow water passages and overheat.

Thanks but I'd prefer to keep my pb. I haven't done my rear yet. It's still the factory 8.25. I have a dodge truck dana60 and a ford 9" that one of which I'll do. It's disc already up front with big bolt pattern. It's hard to change a numbers matching low mileage car,but it's just a 318 car.

If you come across your eBay supplier for the waterpump housing, I'd love to know. Thank you.440 engine compartment looks good too!
