Just got some shorty headers off a 318 magnum for almost free will they fit on a 318 LA
If not I will put them on the 5.9
Secondly are they even worth the effort or should I hold out for long tubes?

 I've been wondering if anyone has tried them in an abody also

What vehicle are you hoping they fit?

The stock Magnum manifolds can be modified to fit an abody. My dad put my set of magnums on his 71 swinger. I have pictures if I could figure out how to load them. BTW does anybody have a set of magnums they want to sell?

They will fit the motor.

They will not fit an early A body - not enough room between the inner fenders/steering box. From what I understand, they won't fit a later A either.

I don't have any "hands on experience" with using them headers, but through some research I have found others whom tried it and was a no go! I have a set of '92 magnum Dakota manifolds on my '70 dart, with that said, I have manual steering, floor shifter and I fabricated my own motor mounts. I had to trim the steering column outer support tube approximately 2". Too I am running stock steering coupler setup. I would load pictures if I knew how or if it would be of any good to you or anyone else.

That's alot of mods. Dad just cut out a section over the power steering and flipped it over. He then welded it back in, worked perfectly.

Lot of mods? Only mods was cutting down the column. What did he cut out? Did he cut a section out of the manifold?
