One for every year?
From 67 to 73 I'm pretty sure they all interchange. 66 and older is a bit different, but can be built to work. 74 up I cannot say.

They changed the case somewhere in the mid 70s, and the VB has to match it. I found that out while swapping stuff around.

From a stock standpoint the 71 up has all the good upgrades.

Thanks for the info....

I believe 71 and up gives the transmission part throttle kick down. Prior to that you had to go WFO to get kick down.

I have a question, is there an easy way to identify what year transmission you have and what it is out of??? Thanks a bunch....

And if you clean the case and extension really well, you will see the little circular date stamp. It's on all the major aluminum pieces; case, tail,VB-upper,VB-lower,etc, I think I've even seen it on the speedO housings, lol.
