oh - they are ALL like that - rare as hell that anyone will ship a replacement part unless they have to original one (unless they just don't want ti back at all)
I dunno, I ordered a part from Summit, and it was defective. I called them and they shipped out another one ALONG with a return label. UPS guy showed up next day, I swapped the part out in the box, taped it up and handed it right back to him.
