Searching for my old 68 Formula S 383 Notchroof

-
Today, I successful made contact by phone with the current owner. He lives in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. We talked for about 45 minutes. Bad news for me, at least for now, he is not interested in selling the car. Good news is that we will stay in touch and, if in the future he decides to sell, he'll have my information. I'll be sending him some early history about the car, and some early pictures. It was apparent that he is a car guy as well as a NASCAR fan. He will be in the Phoenix area for NASCAR in November. We'll connect in person and I'll show him around the Phoenix car cruise, including a trip to Ernie Adams' Dwarf Car museum - http://www.dwarfcarmuseum.com/ - just south of where I live, and possibly a trip to the Penske museum. Well, they say that every cloud has a silver lining. Here's hoping for the future!

Thanks to Dave for his help in tracking the car since he purchased it in 2011! Good luck to all others looking for their previous rides. This website and group of people rock!

Sorry that the current owner is not wanting to sell. You did good to find it. I know if the previous owner of mine came calling I would politely say No! I would invite them to see and drive the car but only with me in it and likely packing.

And yes there are some good folk that visit this site!

Sorry the S wasn;t available right now,
patience will be your friend.
Maybe Hantz will bring the Cuda down to
Arizona when he visits and just leave it there.
Dave

Good to know it's still alive and you found/contacted the current owner!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a great story and here's hoping some day soon, Ralph is behind the wheel of that notch again. There are so many great back stories that go with so many of our favorite old cars.

His wife sends a letter impersonating him to get you to sell it. What a B%%ch she sounds like. People like that suck.

I bet you and your buddy were having "too much fun for her taste" swapping the car back and forth, so she had to stick it to ya and your good time. Sounds like she was miserable and wanted. Ya'll to be that way too.

Well her evil plot was foiled and the.cuda has been found. Sucks your buddy cannot be here to drive it again when it eventually returns to you. I bet he will be there in spirit though.

Thanks for all of the comments! Hopefully, I'll be meeting the Canadian owner this November if/when he comes to Phoenix for NASCAR. I'm looking forward to showing him our big cruise nites around town. There are 2 big ones on Saturday night - 67th and Bell in Glendale, and cruise-nite at the Pavilions in Scottsdale.

Any updates on this one? Did you meet up with the owner?
