Very nice! Must like the 323 gear on the street? When is the next track outing?

In a couple of weeks. Hope I can make it. Still not 100% comfortable with my tune and the Fitech is not cooperating.

Bought a set of these EBay Dakota headers. Going to rework the hot side on the drivers side cause I've had a helluva time getting the Vband to seal on this side. Going to use the ball/socket connector this time.

For those of you considering the reversed magnum manifolds, these Dakota headers have great clearance to the steering shaft.

Cool deal. I was thinking about trying a set for my dart sport, but worried they wouldn't fit. So thanks for posting that they fit. What year Dakota do they fit?

Good point. But I wonder if I might fit my car because I pretty much don't have any inner fenders etc.lol

It might. There is a guy a few threads or pages down from my build that put these on a 69 Dart. He had to open a hole in the pass side fenderwell near the shock tower as I recall to get them to fit. I think they *might* fit if one of the tubes was reworked. Good luck with your build!

Hey got any updated pics with the truck headers installed? Also I get my GM LS computer and wireing harness tuesday

Waiting for my socket type exhaust adapter to rework the drivers side hotside. I took everything off last night and tried to fit up the pass side with the Dakota header. No go without some serious modes to a couple of the tubes. I might still try though at a future date.

Well, now don't shoot me, but depending on how much heat ever look into adding heat defusers? I know it's kinda ricey but they do work. was thinking of having a company down here make some from aluminum and have them welded onto the stock hood of my 67, after its up and running and seeing how hot it gets. something along the lines of this pic

who makes this hood and what is it for?

NOT sure the make but it's for a modern car but the whole concept is with the vents is as air moves over the vent it acts like the vacuum to help pull the hot engine temp out from under the hood and get it out, thus causing less heat robbing power from the engine.

Some pics for you guys of the hotside stuff since I have everything torn down for some rework. Notched the back bolt on the pass manifold to give me some clearance to the downpipe.

Exhaust side of turbo and new socket flange I will be splicing into the drivers side crossover. Walker #41725 fits perfect on these Dakota manifolds. Took me forever to find that part no.

Thanks for the updates. I was all set to start on mine. But now I have to redo the front frame rails. So who knows when I will get to the fun stuff. Lol

Reworked this one side of the crossover and put in the socket flange. The pass side shorty header won't fit, no way without serious mods. Buttoned it all up and started. Sounds leak free but I introduced a fuel leak now. Fix that tomorrow.

Still eliminating exhaust leaks. Redid the downpipe and added a bellow type flex pipe. So much easier to get the vbands to align now.

Took 'er out for a little testing today. Filled up with E85 and got into boost a few times while logging data. Def running better. Cleared all my error codes in the Fitech and this thing is making near instant boost from about 2800 RPM. Must be the 3.23s. Got the engine temp situation under control also. Got one nagging exhaust leak but what's a Mopar without exhaust leaks?

Tires are rubbing since I swapped out axels and 3rd member. Going to mini tub and put a narrowed rear end in. Debating whether to buy a ready made 9", chop my spare 8 3/4 or do a Dana 60. I'm not sure the Dana would clear a stock gas tank. It's already tight with the 8 3/4. 9" stuff is cheaper and easier to come by....decisions.

If you're looking to go new, i'd look into moser! I'm so happy with my dana 60 thats custom width. Dana is a bit cheaper than a 9 but keep in mind that the highest gear you can run in a 60 is 3.54. I got mine with disks for a really good deal compared to what used 8 3/4 were going for. If you're looking to keep it cheap just chop your 8 3/4!
