I agree- The certification or lack thereof is not a deal killer for me, either- While they DO have to prove their lift to get certified they also have to 'pay to play'... There are quality lifts (backyard buddy included) that are not certified.

To me that wasn't really an issue, air is readily available in my shop. I actually like the air activated safetys, they operate very nicely.
