727 Trans cooler line. Top or Bottom ??

If you have any type of seal problem for drain-back, which is common, you want the pressure line from the transmission (front fitting) going to the bottom port on the cooler.
That way after shutoff fluid won't drain back into the transmission and have to re-circulate after startup, resulting in a lighter shift at first which is in turn hard on the transmission.

It can/will drain back no matter which line or end of the trans it does it through.
