No, you still have to locate the knob and secure it.Really it's no big deal. Once secured with the setscrew, it may be years until it works loose again. IIRC there is a little divot in the shifter-tube,that the setscrew is supposed to engage. You might have to hunt for it a bit. That last time I adjusted one was in the mid 70's .
