496 I built four years ago is coming back for freshening in the fall. 496, pump gas, solid flat tappet, Stealth heads, made 450hp to the tires, and won 1st (383 4bbl) for stock appearing at Carlisle with factory manifolds and repro exhaust. Without the factory manifolds (headers and bigger exhaust) it's gone up to 470hp to the tires with a Porter Racing custom cam. Using my conversions that's about 550hp at the crank, and he drives it everywhere including long highway trips.
