Just thinking if this intake setup would would work on the 5.7. And be streetable. Running carbs or port injected with throttle bodies

How would you modify that to fit the horizontal 3g intake ports?

Just want to know if it where to fit if it would be functional. Either build it or make adapter.

Anyone body have one laying around wanna donate for R&D. Or donate to my Go fund me page for "BAD *** GENI CROSS RAM ON GENIII"

Machine adapters to bolt to the GIII. Getting them bolted up is the easy, but expensive part. I'm wondering if you can get them under the hood, and clear the engine.

I don't know anything about getting the carbs to run, especially on those long intake runners.

They made long tube and short tube. Wandering if you could put throttle bodies and port inject. Didn't Legendary member yellowdartdave have that intake in his dart I recently saw some pics but not sure if was his dart

They would make spark plug changes fun.

Long Rams may look cool but everyone wants 100x more than they are worth and performance wasn't their game. They look cool but there is a reason they were replaced with a cross ram or duel inline 4's.

I admire the aspiration, but that's a pretty square peg to pound into a round hole...

Unless you want to custom build your own from scratch..........which would be easier than adapting the B/RB version, I say "forget it"

WOW! That is way off. Thread closed no more questions. Thanks to all who participated.

I have a pair, and I would hate to see them cut up. As said, make an adapter for them. I'd love to see these installed on everything! Long and short tube intakes are the same size, it's the inside of the tubes that are the long or short part of it.

On a side note, I'd hoped to score a set of B/RB Hilborn/ other "stack injection" manifold, and adapt them to SB Mopar. I did buy an older Hilborn Chev, I'm "planning" (you know how that goes) to cut them into 4 pieces of 2 ports each and adapt to a SB

those sonic manifolds were designed to bring the big torque down to around 2800 all in . the rest of the rpm is lost to power gains . there were three or four versions of them , they kept cutting back the divided runners to get the torque up the scale of the rpm . until the max wedge cross ram or rat roaster intakes were developed . these worked way better , but its a cool looking and but it only low end big torque . have great fun building it , but don't look for great results . oh ya the v10 p/u motor had a similar length on it intake runners , and there not around much . the new gen hemi pulled away from them did it not .

OK, I'm gonna poke at you for fun because this is a screaming post.

(Obviously has no clue on how different the engines are but sure knows cool when he sees it!)

OK, is he on drugs!!! (Remember, just kidding here) they are Expensive !!!
I'm gonna do it. Since it can't be done.
Oh, I love the tenacity!!!!

NOW THE SERIES REPLY!

There was a fella here that had a bottom half of a Weiand Tunnel ram that he then made his own sheet metal intake and used two 4bbl. Carbs that hung over each valve cover. It looked awesome.

I suggest to you, learn how to weld and welding aluminum is a good thing to have under your belt! From there, you can design your own!

I'm going to make a sketch of the intake the member had. I'll post it up later tomorrow.

Possible thread you where thinking off?

Thanks I guess? I can weld aluminum. No problem it's that I will not waste my time doing the intake. Or the money, I new they were expensive.

Somebody actually MADE "something like this"

Here we go, "Offy." You take an inline dual quad intake on your T bucket/ other/ hot rod and strap a pair of these on, and you have "instant" cross ram

OP............there actually ARE people besides Ed/ Holley making "stuff" for the 3G hemis.

You can buy "stack" injection manifolds, and somewhere I saw a criss cross weber setup

This kind'a thing.........only hemi.......

There we go! Last picture! That's for you Logan!!!! Get on that! Oh yea!

that last one , is the trick that would be closest to right rpm range of the modern hemis with carbs . but direct port injection would be better , like lucas system , of course it has an injection system on it , would think on modifing it first .

hey i got this if you want to go webers , lol . they can be separated apart like single four barrels
