just curious what everyone likes. Please specify model

Thanks very helpful... It would be cool if you said 375v like the tesla

I bought one from interstate, I like having at least 750 CCA 1000 CCa is even better for high comp.

i've had two Interstates that have lasted 10 and 14 years... I'm not a battery-brand snob but I just bought another for my wife's Jeep and will get another for my race car.

If you buy a flat top battery like this one, you can put a Mopar battery topper on it :D

Interstate. We have an Interstate store in town that sells blems for $60. They are fine except for a small blemish on the casing that keeps them from being sold as a full priced Interstate battery.

believe it or not Auto Zone....but ONLY the Duralast GOLD

I usually pay the extra money and get the one that has 1000 CCA and I NEVER have a problem

I have a Dura last Gold that me and my dad bought in 2009 and it STILL cranks out stronger than some new batteries, it's so old it has the yellow top which they don't even make them like that anymore.

Auto Zone might be cheap in other areas but I trust their Duralast Gold. Any Duralast less than the Gold series is kinda a risk. They have a cheapo valucraft available and I have seen some people have good luck with them but you get what you pay for.

i buy the duralast.. have had the red and the gold and haven't had any problems with either.. it was one of the top rated batteries at the time i bought one for our jeep and two toyotas. not sure where they rank today.

Exide Maxxima, or EP450 these days.
If you've ever experienced the power output of a gel battery you'll wonder why you ever want to buy regular car batteries again.

depends on the vehicle - Optima yellow in the Scamp, Optima red in the plow truck (mostly because I had it and wasn't using it for anything else) and an Interstate in my DD ...the one the manufacturer said fits. Oh, and a gel type in my bike.. again, the one "they" said fit it.

Asaultin... Get it? :)
The Advance Auto gold series in the B'cuda really doesn't qualify since I don't "use" it. That car has been started only 3 times this year, driven about 8 miles. Purchased that battery Jan 2012. I sit the ground cable on and the juice is there.
The Standard Power battery in my 96 Camry... I do use it. I think its a 1 year warranty motor cycle battery. Cost me like 53 bucks. It's small, needed a filler piece under the hold down. It's well over 3 years old now.

I actually like a brand that I think is local, ACTION, have a group 27 in the trunk battery box, actually have had really good luck with these the on in the RV is 12 YO and still fine and it is hardly used anymore.

Now using red top optima. Use to use duralast gold and had good luck. Only one gold battery started leaking @ posts. Some have bashed red tops but I think its fine.

I used to buy the 1000 cca batteries but in order to get those kind of cca #'s they case is filled with thinner plates that don't hold up as well to high engine bay temps. Batteries are damaged by the summer heat but mostly fail in the cold.

When I finally replaced those two ancient Interstates (which I did not buy new...came in cars/trucks I bought) I saw they were both about 750 cca deals. Never had a problem starting in the winter (slant 6 and a 318) but I realized that maybe I didn't need all those cca's to get a reliable start.

When I owned my own big trucks my Petes all had four 12v batteries. Not much of a heat problem with the batteries located in the step box but I still had a problem keeping all four going for more than 3 years. Usually bought 1000 cca rated group 56 units. One time I had an alternator die in upstate NY... coasted into a Mack dealer with zero power. Replaced the alternator and all four battteries with 750 cca Mack branded batteries. Those lasted SIX YEARS!

All this made me rethink about how much power you really need...

Now not to step on anyones toes but I cannot stand that bright red or yellow optima batteries or the bright green interstate batteries, i just went to my local dodge dealer and put a mopar battery on my demon, all black with the blue and white mopar sticker on the side looks clean

I agree with you & painted my Optima before switching to the battery topper style posted above...
