Strut rod nuts - Bevel in or out??

Whats the correct way to install the front retention nuts on the strut rods....bevel in toward the washer, or bevel out, away from the washer?

stock they were curved in towards the k-frame.. the aftermarket ones seem to say curved away from the k-frame.. not sure if they were just stamped wrong of thats how they really should be for some reason.
 
The washer is stamped 'front' in his pic, he's asking about the nut.

OP- Mine are like you have it, no idea why the nuts are beveled.
 
Is there no bushing???? Looks like the washer is almost against the k-frame.
 
Nut bevel goes out. See if the nut is harder to turn as it nears the beveled end.
Note "front" on the washer in the picture.

The beveled end on nuts like that are typically distorted just enough to cause an interference fit on the threads. To keep them from loosening up over time. (And that side of the nut always faces "out". It would be difficult to get a bolt started in the distorted side anyways.)

Thanks guys, for the input. The pic I used is not my setup.... I stole it from someone elses thread. Just wondering if the nut is correctly oriented in the pic, or reversed.
 
69 340 gts got it, it's a self locking nut and it is pinched down on the bevel end, and it goes out.

Thanks. Mine will go on easily either way....thats why I was asking.
