so I said to my GF the other day... the answer to the next three question is addicted

What do you call someone who can't stop drinking?
What do you call someone who is strung out on ******?

What hit you in the face last night?

mechanical question for you guys.

John deere diesel. New starter replaced last summer, but I think the solenoid is bad. it only starts when jump the terminals. Am I correct in the thinking the solenoid is junk?
Don't get me started...:BangHead::BangHead::BangHead::BangHead: I had a Lister Petter, 3 cyl Diesel Generator, last week in Africa, that would not start. I was told that it ran a few weeks ago. Crank, no start. Now , I am not much of a diesel tech, but I found a few things out. Changed the fuel filter and bleed off all the air, still no start. The battery was not strong enough to pull in the fuel start solenoid. So I pulled the battery and installed a know good one. Still no start. Working with limited , or NO TOOLS all the time. Mind you, it is 104 deg and HUMID !!! The fuel smelled like F'n crap. I suspected the lift pump. So I pulled it and disassembled it to check the bellows. All ok. Reinstall lift pump. Bleed air. No Start. This diesel has three fuel pumps for the injectors that are driven by the camshaft, then sent over to the other side to the fuel injectors. Finally, I found a box of new parts in one of the storage rooms. NOBODY KNEW IT WAS THERE !!!. Now I'm thinking , still fuel issue. Sooo. I found 6 new injector nozzles in the box. Mind you, you first have to get them out, never done before. Have to disassemble each one, with hardly ANY TOOLS !!. Springs and shims are flying everywhere. Got em all apart and cleaned the housings and install 3 new injector nozzles . Reassemble all. Bleed off all air. Hey Guess What ? It runs... Haulifrickin Lugha... Spent the better part of three days getting it goin, but I did it.

we just got an email, looks like it may have been a false alarm. No injuries or anything reported as of now, no arrests, no suspects.

Yeah, we're runnin' a little bit hot tonight
I can barely see the road from the heat comin' off of it
Ah, you reach down, between my legs
Ease the seat back

She's blinding, I'm flying
Right behind the rear-view mirror now
Got the feeling, power steering
Pistons popping, ain't no stopping now

Found the problem, well we think we did on that tractor. Come to find out there is in fact a seat safety but it's not fully electric, the seat sits on a hydraulic set up, it's weight sensing apparently and there is a level that goes down under the platform to the clutch linkage and hits a switch there to allow power to start. That level is broke
