75 Dodge Dart Ignition Switch

I would "ohm" it out and repin the connector as necessary.

Post the switch photo with a clear shot of the connector/ wire colors and we'll go from there

I have a 75 paper shop manual "somewhere" I'll have to dig it out..........EDIT.........turns out I scanned them, I'll look around here a bit

This should get you started, this is the switch in the 75 shop manual. The diagrams starting in 73 are layed out completely differently than the 72/ earlier ones. I havent found a scan of the connector yet

The big no12 RED (J1-12R) coming in at top is BATTERY power TO the switch. Be CAREFUL!~!! This is UNfused and comes from the ammeter circuit. If you do any smoking/ sparking/ arcing with that you are liable to pop the fuse link, and could even damage the ammeter

The big no12 BLACK (Q2-12BK) is ACCESSORY power going to the fuse panel. It is connected to the RED in "run" and in "ACC"

S2-14Y (No 12 YELLOW) is the start power going to the start relay, and is connected to RED only in "start"

The no 12 DARK BLUE (left off number) 12 DBL is "run" voltage and is connected to RED ONLY in "run" position

The no 14 BROWN (J3-14BR) is the ignition resistor bypass and is connected to RED only in "start"

Other smaller wires would be for "stuff" like the "key light" and the "key in buzzer."
