I am thinking of replacing my original black top. Has anyone used the top from Legendary? If so, what do you think? It appears to match the original's grain pattern. Thanks.

I got Pams at Classic Industries for $199.00 then I upgraded the window to glass for another $191.00.
Exact grain match to what was on it,and the glass looks AWESOME from inside and out!

I opted for the German Canvas top with glass window. Looks so better than the cheap looking stock or replacement vinyl. Then again, my car looks all stock on the exterior, but then almost everything under the body is not stock either.

That fancy German weave is cool on some cars, but on stock appearing 60's cars not so much. Does nothing for your car IMO.

To each his own I suppose.

How difficult are these to install yourself? I have most of the old one off to repaint the frame. I was going to take it to a local ragtop shop for big bucks.

Mine is from Legendary, paid to have a pro put it on. Money well spent.

LOL, if you didn't know it wasn't vinyl, you wouldn't have ever known otherwise. You certainly can't tell it's canvas from this photograph?

The wrinkles on your install are accented by the sheen of the vinyl, which is another reason I prefer the matte look of canvas. Notice how much better "Jaws" install looks with no wrinkles. Bad installs do nothing for the looks of these old cars except to make them look cheap.

Wrinkles are there cause the picture was taken minutes after the top was installed. 2 hours in the sun and the top is now as tight as can be.
Like I said, to each his own. You can have the German weave. I don't want it.

That's good news. Nice rims.

I'll assume your not being a facetious D-hole, so thanks for the compliment.
Nice color on your car btw. Love pale yellow.

Different strokes right?
