Anyone ever use these pistons? I got a set with a pile of 440 stuff I picked up the other day. I am a stock head guy. I usually get them machined, resurfaced, hardened seats, new springs and place larger diameter valves. We measured out some head volumes on a few sets of 452s after machine work and they come out around 84-85ccs. Even with a little off the block surface I think I can still end up around 10.3:1 with a .040 cometic gasket with these pistons. Piston specs in link. I am having to assume where the piston will sit in the hole and used .010. I just spent the last few hours reading about static and dynamic CR and quench and cams and gear ratios and everything in between. Lol....did I do my math right?
