Changing Automatic Shift Points in a 727

I guess I could put in a softer 1-2 shift spring so that it would shift at the same rpm as the 2-3 shift at 4500 - 4600 rpm and put in lighter governor weights and that should move the 1-2 and the 2-3 shift points up an equal amount, correct?
Correct, but do one at a time. Start with the governor weight first to get the 2-3 shift where you want it. I have used the A&A weights, they are right on the money.

Your lazy 2-3 shift concerns me. You might want to get that worked out as well. Was the trans rebuilt or just a shift kit purt in?
