well me and the woman packed up and came to Florida for a week, went to a few parks in Disney and doing some fishing here in Polk County,
Boy is it hot, you Florida guys must be tougher than I am!
Saw a few mopars too, 71 cuda in a Firestone shop, should have got a picture!

Enjoy your visit to the Sunshine State! Glad you came during our cool time! Lol. Seriously though, we suffer it out towards the end of summer but we're coming into the best time of the year for us. Cool nights for top down cruising! Have a great time.

Lived in south Fla. a number of years. By the second year I was like everybody else. If it dropped below 70 out came the gear you could survive in, in the frozen tundra. LOL

Friday night might be possible, we got here last Saturday and leaving this Saturday, just trying to get one of the Big Florida largemouth before we go!

I go to olde towne every feb,we vaqcation in Orlando every feb........Very nice cruise something for everyone from w dubs to big block everything.................................................Jeff

Thanks for checking out our little corner of the world. If next time you come down let us forum guys in Florida know and maybe we can all meet in a central location. If you love to fish there is Lake Toho in Kissimmee and a huge lake further south called Lake Okeechobee. I have fished them all doing tournaments, when I was younger, you won't be disappointed. One thing I would advise is to stay away from Orlando, you will sit for hours in traffic because of all those goofy parks they have. In Kissimmee at Old Town on Saturday nights there is always a car show and cruise night. Florida has a lot to offer but you have to know where to go to really enjoy your stay. I moved here 33 years ago from Chicago and never looked back. The very best part is that you can do things all year long, most every Friday or Saturday night you can find a car show or a cruise to go to. One other thing which is the best is WE AIN'T GOT NO SNOW!!!!!!

I'm heading to Florida in March. Landing in Orlando March 14 and staying a couple days to take kids to Disney and then driving over to Port Charlotte to hang out at the Father in Law's beach house. I believe we're flying out of Fort Myers?

Yea we did the Disney thing, the Indiana Jones show was pretty cool, and animal kingdom was ok.... not really my cup of tea tho,
I wish I would have brought the kayaks because most of the water here you can’t really bank fish, but we’re hitting the Reno rock management are tomorrow, I read that’s a pretty good spot to get a lunker

We spend Winters in Hernando, South of Ocala, and have been over to Old Towne for the Car Events.

Lived in Punta Gorda for 12 years. Kayaks are cool but they are way to down close to the gators for me. When fishing stay aware of your surroundings. Have fun.

Fl 71,
Ur right first place we stoped at had a big gator, was prolly 8-10’ long, when we got there it was about 200yards our and within 30 min it was about 20 yards from us off the bank... today we had a small 2’ gator come right up to us at the bank, they certainly aren’t scared of people

They are sneaky bastards. We lived a few miles up the peace river so we had quite a few. Most fun was harassing them with a radio control boat. The gator finally won. Oh well.

You're going to miss a gigantic car show in Lakeland on IIRC Oct 21.

Everything from concours pre-war to NASCAR, motorcycles, straight axle cars, cobras, corvettes, Ferrari's, military, and street cruisers. About 20 city blocks plus a around a lake, and a hill side.

This is what I would be doing 24 7  Fishing for some 10 lbs'er :) Lets get the camera out on the boat

No boat but I’ll post some pics, were at Tenoroc now, caught 5 so far, in the 15” range

Just booked out hotel for the few days in Orlando. It's the Comfort Suites Maingate in Old Town. Staying from Thursday March 15 to Saturday March 17. Here's hoping there a car show that weekend.

After that I'm driving the rental car to Port Charlotte to go to the beech house .
