[WANTED] Throttle Cable For 65 Valiant V8

I believe that any A-Body, Early V8 Cable Will Work. - The Cable must be the type with a clip on the accelerator bracket (firewall) end, and be 15-3/8" long, overall. -- Same as the one pictured, except that one is too long. -- If You Have one, send a PM, to Me, with price shipped to 18848. -- Picture(s), along a tape measure, if possible. --

I used the ATP Y-156. It’s 19” long, but worked perfect with an air gap intake and the raised throttle cable bracket from Mancini. Perfect fit and perfect geometry.

-- 19" is similar to the one that I have. I have a 318, same size as a 273, with a Edelbrock performer intake, and a 600 CFM Holly. The cable works, but due to the extra length it loops, upward, above the distributor cap, then back to the bracket. -- There's one on this site for sale, but it includes the accelerator pedal bracket, which I don't need. The one that's for sale is 15-3/8" long, overall. -- I measured from where the cable goes through the firewall, through the clamping bracket, and to the linkage on the carb, and Bingo, that will work perfectly.

Was the 318 cable shorter than the 340 cable? My original 340 was 18.5”

Don't know. -- Did it loop upward, as I said in post #4 ?
