What do you guys think? Are they any good? Summit has one for a small block mopar listed as a muscle car pump (23.97) What do you guys think? For a 74 360, mild motor

I am running 2 of them one on my duster and another one on my truck.
No issues, they do make an extra psi or so of fuel pressure.
For the money, they seem like a really decent pump.

Thanks, that extra psi does not require a regulator right?

So far no.
I have a 700 double pumper on the Duster and a 625 street demon on the truck.

I tested the old pump because I was not getting fuel to the carb. I connected a hose to the inlet on the pump and put it in a can full of gas. Also disconnected the hose at the carb and turned the motor over. No gas pumped out. Any comments on testing the pump this way? It should have pulled the gas from the can right?

pumps work off vacuum: the plunger gets moved (down) and sucks fuel in through the 1 or 2 inlet check valves.
the lever cycles the other way and the 1 or 2 inlet check valves close and the outlet check valve opens and the lever pushes out the fuel to the carb. If you can open the pump (round style with a bunch of bolts) you can sometimes reseat the popped out check valves and make the pump worlk like new again. the crimped style is a goner.

Some have too high of a 'cut off' pressure. Stock style ones are fine. If it has max pressure over 6.5 psi, it will over fill the fuel bowl(s)..
