The fan on my 360 magnum is tight and causing a lot of drag. How do I loosen it up or what fan would work better for me. It hardly free wheels and it's always been tight when i got it new
 
That aftermarket or parts store replacement clutches I tried for Magnum engines always ended tighter and caused reduced gas mileage on my trucks. Only way I was able to fix it was to get the correct replacement part from the Dodge dealer. The last one I bought from the dealer was probably 8 or 10 years ago, so I would be curious to see if rockauto.com has the correct one now.
 
On quick glance, Rockatuo.com only shows aftermarket replacements and only shows heavy duty cooling and severe duty cooling. Sounds like a good used part or a dealership part for an application without heavy duty cooling are your next options.
 
Get an electric fan... Have had mine for 9 or 10 years. First on my 1999 5.9 Dakota R/T for at least 5 years. Sold the R/T. The same is now in my 1975 Swinger with a 408 Magnum. Cools great in Hot Oklahoma...
