this sickness is spreading to australia.........please pray..

No reason to then, hope the company starves to death.

Not sure I understand. Is this an ad to adapt a GM LS series engine into a Valiant?

its a very popular swap.. more and more people ask and are buying kits to do it.. cheaper and a ton more aftermarket support then mopar stuff. and have you seen what a turbo LS can do? DAMN!

AbodyJoe has an excellent point.
Be it an LS, HEMI or what ever “New” engine it is, there really hard to beat for an engine out of a wreck and into your car. Keep the computer and trans? Whew! That’s a bad ***** right there. Even if left stock. Hit riders dream!

You can credit Mom MoPar for this problem.

I like you all projects and ingenuity.

Pfst!! No doubt. The fellas from down under freakin rock! I have seen many things on You Tube, TV, the magazines and here on the forums.
You all are doin great!

I hate all the LS swaps. If you want to go fast and cheap, buy the LS. Why hide behind a Mopar. Put it in a Holden and be proud. Nothing to be proud of by running an LS in a Mopar. To me keep the brand where it belongs. No shame in that. But why be an imposter. I hate it.

The LS swap is not something I would do even with the money to do it........

HOWEVER, lemmie ask this.....Isn't an LS swap in a Mopar better than that Mopar bein scrapped? It's still in the hobby at least.

This would be like putting cow manure in your ham sandwich.

Edible maybe, but not good.

As I said, I have a tremendous amount of respect for the LS engines. There’s no question they are a very affordable go fast mill. I’m not even a purist Mopar Guy... but I wouldn’t want to see a Hemi or a 440 in a Camaro. Or whatever. I just don’t like it. That’s saying “ I like the car but it needs a Chevy to actually go”. Well... then buy a Chevy then if that’s what you want to do. But hey... that’s what I love about hot rods. It’s yours, do what you please!

I'm very traditional, but I also enjoy creativity. I'd rather see an LS mopar than retro fitting a hybrid engine into one. Hot rodding is hot rodding, 8 cylinders are firing, same ****.

Wouldn’t it be nice if late model Chrysler’s had the same aftermarket selection as the Chevy and ford guys.

That has been the problem. The 3G Hemi has only been around since 2003 and Chrysler has been a tight fisted ****** with their computers. Its as if Chrysler didn't care or want anyone to use their stuff in anything but a 100% stock configuration. Chevrolet and General Motors have been far more customer friendly.

That right there is the whole problem. They never have and they never will.

That said, how can anyone not think this isn't a thing of beauty? I love them all, as long as they are old and AMERICAN.

would be awesome.. chrysler is so anti enthusiast its crazy.. even back as far as the magnum motors from chrysler.. no street rod type of harness for those.. why not? its nuts.. yea i know you can now buy a hellcat motor with harness to put in anything but do they have a regular 5.7 harness yet?

I really don’t understand the hate for what’s essentially hot rodding on a budget. What allowed me to get into the old car hobby in the first place is that you can pick up a 70’s A-Body for relatively cheap, at least compared to other old cars. So if you’re going the low buck route and you want to do a swap to a modern fuel injected engine, the LS makes a lot of sense.

Now I can understand if you have a pristine Barracuda or even a very nice 60’s Dart, why it’s preferable to keep that all Mopar. So on one of those cars, the extra thousands to do a 5.7 Hemi can be justified. But in my case I have a 73 Swinger I bought for $4300. It has the beak, worn out paint, rust, dings, the panels have big gaps between them… It would be financially stupid to try and make it a show car and quite frankly, I wouldn’t want that even if money wasn’t an obstacle. So when it comes time to replace the 318, I will absolutely be considering a junkyard LS. Even a bone stock 5.3 in such a lightweight car would be a blast.

It’s just an opinion. I prefer to keep mine all mopar. I think going to the street rod nationals and seeing a small block Chevy in everything.
