Anybody going out this year? Being smart and staying home? We are having a church deal with a service at 10pm then FOOD at midnight. I am early to bed/early to rise type of guy but figured if they want to feed me then I should probably show up! LOL. I know these women can cook that is for sure.
 
We have friends from church who live nearby and are throwing a party Sunday. The football game starts at three, dinner will be 6-7 and then games and drinking until midnight. Last year, we made it til about ten o'clock and the wife drove me home.

we used to belong to a mostly hispanic church (in fact, it was them moving from bi-lingual to only spanish that prompted our move) and the one thing i miss most about that church is the potlucks

Long ago when we were young used to go out to concerts or parties, these days stay home and have a real good meal, a few beverages, watch some movies and listen to the fireworks and gunfire at midnight. Also it's going to be below zero here, another good reason to stay in.
 
I don't do a thing on NY eve anymore. Sometimes I "have a shot" watch a late movie, ?? but never go out. SOMEtimes I don't even make it up that late and fall asleep!!! LOL

I DO remember the hype and BS associated with "2K" What a load of nonsense
 
Wife and I staying home (we have our grandson living with us).

Going to make some loaded (with food) nachos, whip up some margaritas and watch Dick Clark's Rockin New Years.

Staying home with my wife and daughter to enjoy remembering the year past and look forward to the year ahead. Although it is really just another day, it's a nice tradition to stop and take stock of where we have been and where we are going...together.

We usually take one of my best friends, and his wife , that I grew up with, out for a movie. Gotta take care of ur mech. , head porter , 18 time national record holder , and maybe best friend !
 
We're staying home, just another night for us. The boss usually makes up a pot of soup and some homemade bread.
 
Staying home with the lovely Wife and two Grandsons. Do up some steaks with a side of Perogies and buttered corn.

Oops, can't forget the shrimp my Daughter donated!
 
Nice roast beef dinner,watching some kind of movie and early to sleep as usual.
Have a good evening everybody!

I gave up on the festivities and hangovers years ago.
