Unless you enjoying spend a lot of cash, look at the $45 Ningbo ready-to-run distributor (ebay, Steve White Perf and others). Many posts here. Add an e-core coil for hottest spark.
MSD ignitions don`t use a ballast resistor either. I have run MSD`s on 4 diff hotrods, 1/drag only, 3 street n strip cars, and never had a problem w/ any of them. Hunt the best price on anyone tho!
