Same here, looking for my first car in 74 a friend showed me a 69 Boss 429 mustang. Flat back tire, a little rust starting, I thought who’d want that. Went on to by my 70 340 4sp Duster so it wasn’t a complete waste.
Yeah but at least you got something cool. I got a 4 cylinder econo car. I traded that in on a Plymouth Turismo 2.2 the following year (Plymouth's version of the Charger 2.2). It was way cooler but not as cool as a 340 Duster.
