vin tag lost at paint help

I was only joking bout the chemical sniffing. I should have used the "sarcasm stick" lol. But I haven't had good experience in regards to my 69 and the body shop. I took my fendertag off when it went to the body shop. My dash was out already so the vin stayed with me as well.
I'm confused as to what the OP is missing....is it a vin or fendertag?

I pretty sure he's talking about the fender tag. It IS hard to get competent bodywork. Most qualified auto-body personnel shy away from anything but collision repair. There just isn't any comparison to the profit margin and most folks don't have the coin to compete to do it right.
Unfortunately that can lead to poor turn-around times or substandard work.
I do agree the chemicals can mess with us. More like cancer and nervous systems. Not so much losing fender tags. :poke:
