383 motor mounts, Form S

Subject- chrome plating. I'm sure you will get a lot of helpful advice and opinions here when you are ready. For me in California, and after years of trial and error (mostly error), I will not use any plater in this state. I use Paul's Plating in Pennsylvania. Always good work, all chrome on the car will match, but expensive. The covers cost me $800, but they removed all bracketry including the baffles, straightened the sheet metal and then chromed. They turned out better than I had anticipated. I would have been happy with something less but they look great. I am sure anyone visiting this website has stories to tell, good luck to all. By the way, here is my motor, I'm just a little ahead of you. My motor has been dyno'd and is being detailed and about ready for those chrome v/covers.View attachment 1715329657View attachment 1715329658View attachment 1715329659View attachment 1715329659

WOW. $800 That seems a bit steep . I guess you get what you pay for, and they look great ! But Damn , $800 ? Not sure I want to spend that, Not even half that on V/C's. I just don't have that kind of money.
