No. I'm saying set them cold to .020/.024 or even a bit tighter. Since everything grows when it hot, it will be running with more than .020/.024 hot. So check them hot. Let's say you are at .022/.026 hot. Subtract the cold number from that and that's how much tighter you need you need to be cold to get the hot lash correct.
Using the example above, you'd then set the lash to .018/.022 cold to get .020/.024 hot. Does that make sense?
