Slant SIx TTI Exhaust

I bought one of these from TTI last Xmas. They advertise it for early A's but it was really designed around a newer body style. DDutra said they were willing to fab one up for free to anyone that would lend them an early A for the time needed to get the kinks worked out.

On my 64 Dart with a 225 the headpipe interfered with the steering, we dented it in on mine to make it not rub near the tie rod/centerlink. I would think that on a 170 it would make it an interference part, you will likely have to shorten it at the exhaust manifold. Also is closer than I like to a tranny line but I'll bend that out of the way when I get around to it. Looks to be about 3/8" between the pipe and the steering box and its bracket, that may also be too close for you.

Also muffler does not hang where they say it should on an early A (I looked at instructions for V8 cars as there were no instructions for this kit yet), but that isn't a terribly big deal I am sure you can make that part work easy enough.

Ground clearance is less than I would prefer, I bet on a newer A body it fits closer to the floorpan and is fine. In hindsight I would have just had a friend bend some pipe for me at a lower cost and better fit, albeit without mandrel bends (not like my 100hp six needs mandrel bends).
