Gas Tank Replacement - ID Help

Its the factory tank and I have no idea whats inside the tank (nor the condition of it)

Should I remove it and have it cleaned or just remove it and buy a new tank?

I see they sell tanks with 4 vents and tank with no vents, etc.........stupid question, but how can I tell what I need?

You could also buy a new tank designed for EFI with an internal pump. If you are sticking with a carb for now you can use a regulator up front to drop the pressure down for the carb. Then in the future if you switch to EFI you'll already have the fuel system installed and debugged.
