Trick Flow SBM Heads

i learned a long time ago Ryan’s numbers on everything are/ were “ optimistic”... much like Hughes.
The W5’s he did for me were claimed to go over 330.
They were on two other benches( one was Best Machine) and they barely broke 300. My brother had his eddies that had merely been checked over fully ported by Ryan, the car never picked up anything. Ran 11.38 best ever both ways(360). He then put them on a nice 416 and they never broke 120 mph.......
I do agree though that well done Eddies do flow “ right with Trickflows”. I know a number of guys who have Modern CNC ported Eddies. Always run excellent. Those numbers are similar to Trick flows Modern gets.
That is why i said earlier i was surprised Toulene saw 6 tenths difference from the CNC knockoff Eddies at the track and Trick flows. When( if the CNC and valve job are good) a well done Eddie and the Trickflows seem to have similar results.
That tells me the CNC on those knockoffs wasnt up to snuff, in fact, mudt have been downright poor in the power dept.
Absolutely agree, and I'm sure the headers made some difference but the low lift numbers on the intake of the cnc speedmaster really stood out to me. If I guy can port he can have ootb trickflow performance for a few hundred less after upgrading springs but I had enough of porting and spent the few hundred on the tf heads, took them apart, cleaned them, shimmed a few springs, put them together and ran them lol. I do think allot of people expected too much "magic" from a 190 port 2K set of mopar heads, although they do look the part of "full race" heads.
