Dmv title help

My guess is that the previous owner registered the car under the hobbyist plate and it branded the title as replica. A hobbyist plate in Wisconsin is a one time deal. No annual registration. Same with collectors but collector plate has to be oem restored. I'd be checking the vin stampings to make sure it is really a Demon.

The wisconsin site clearly states that the title would be branded.

Missouri has been horribly backlogged at the DMV since Covid. I'm currently awaiting a court date on a ticket I got for driving my vehicle on expired plates, six months after the registration had been logged as accepted by the state, and over a year after I originally mailed it in. What am I supposed to do when my plates don't come in? Start jumping to my destinations?

My last vehicle ('92 Ram) had the title come back in days instead of weeks, because Missouri had farmed basic stuff like that out to license offices throughout the state. Even with a missing property tax document, she emailed about it and I still my title in less than 7 working days.

Somebody probably checked the wrong box or fudge-fingered a couple digits. My 4-cylinder '74 Valiant can attest to that!
