I can't help myself

When I saw your hubcaps they reminded me of the Super Trick hubcaps being made for Butch's next ride . Since no one would make a street look-a-like, especially in a 5" width for the front, I built my own. This is my test / proto-type made with a NFG scrap Super Trick center. The rims bolts on with a wheel adapter / spacer and the Super Trick hub-cap fastens to the adapter. To make the Cragar Super Trick center caps work, the adapters will require a small amount of fab time on the lathe, but will complete the illusion.

All four will be powder coated with a dull / brush- look matt silver. Fronts will be a 5" x 15" steel rim while the rears will be built with 14" x 15" Weld aluminum rims to keep the weight mass down.

on the left is a narrow 3-1/2" wide 50 year old polished Super Trick (not recommended for street duty, plus they tend to leak). On the right is the 5" wide, steel rim with Super Trick hub cap.

Sounds tricky to build, are you worried about thermal expansion, given the difference in hub and rim materials? Sure will look good on the duster
