why don't you just take the 2 alternators (assuming they haven't ever been rebuilt) to a rebuild shop and ask them to test the output. When I realized the potential damage to the rest of the electrical system from high amp alternators (a potential fire from my 100 amp alternator 'improvement'), I started taking old alternators to a rebuild shop, having them find one with the correct output, and getting it rebuilt at that output.
