Slant 6 & A833
Hey ya'll, I have a 65' Valiant 4 door with bench seats & 225 Slant 6 (original motor). I found a good deal on a A833 with bellhousing and all. The problem is it is out of a 1980 D100 w/ slant 6. I found a lot of info but still curious on a few things,
- I will have to turn down the input shaft on the trans to fit my small pocket crankshaft right?
- Is the trans mount in the same location?
- Will my trans tunnel fit this or need cutting?
- Does the 80's D100 trans have a shifter pad that could even work with my sedan & bench set up or will it take a lot of moding?
- Does anyone no whether the output shaft is a slip yoke or...?
I have a working 904 but I do want to manual swap and would like to keep it all Mopar. I know this isn't the perfect trans for my valiant but these A833 are getting tough to find for the Slants and I'm not the richest man so this is a deal I might not want to turn down if possible.
