If tuned properly you'll be ok. I've got a LA 360 block 421" that makes a honest 680 hp. It's got over 100 passes on it. No problems so far. Lots of people have made more HP than I with stock blocks.

Mind if I ask if yours has any fill or not? I prefer not to fill mine.
