Hi everyone its been awhile since i have posted anything here but I need your help! My wife gave birth to our second child ( 2nd daughter ) a month ago. When she was born she had breathing complications and was in the nicu for a week on a ventilator. She recovered from that 100% and she is home now. The other problem is we took her for her 2nd checkup on monday and the doctor thinks there is a good chance she has down syndrome! Please pray for her!!!! Thankyou!

You have my prayers. I know EXACTLY what you are going thru. When Benjamin was born, he spent 91 days in NICU before coming home with an O2 tank and a feeding tube. Several folks here I'm sure remember reading his story. Benjamin also has Down's Syndrome. The doc at the NICU was as surprised as we were when the genetic test came back positive as Benjamin does not have many of the typical markers for Down's (the line across the palm of the hand or the sole of the foot, the flattened nose bridge, and others). And tests during pregnancy did not reveal it. His doctors, after 7 years, still don't really know how to take me. When they first told us he was positive for Down's (Trisomy 21), my first response was, "I didn't get a receipt. I can't return him for a refund. So how do we deal with it from here?"
