5.7 it is a Voltage limiter. Your cluster gauges are 6volts and not 12v. What happens is tha behind the gauge cluster there is a voltage reducer from 12v down to 6volts so they wont fry. In my case the same went bad and it delivered 12v to the gauges and fried them. I had to replace them and thanks to DemonIvr I was able to buy one from them that would reduce the voltage and it works real good. Now I have use of the gauges.
