Tin, Because of the way that it wraps around the engine compartment and then as it goes into the vehicle it is long enough to attach it close or at the glove box compartment. Remember that if you were to install the a/c or heater box it will go over it so this way it will not be too short. I have just enough to install the box but I went ahead and wrapped it towards the top and it is out of the way. If I was you I would not worry about it. If you do order it make sure you let them know that the wire that goes to the transmission on the passenger side to sensor needs to be at least 6" longer so you are able to have enough. I found mine to be just there and would have rather to have it somewhat longer at that point. That is if you are using the 45RFE Transmission. Also if you are using your regular ignition make sure you let them know that you want it with the ignition relay. Our ignitions tend to lose power between the Run And Start and with the relay you basically keep the power there so it can Run/Start with no problems. Talk to Chris he is a great guy and goes out of his way to help you. By the way on the above I was Talking about the factory gauges and not aftermarket. The aftermarkets are 12v so you wont have any problems.
