I can recommend vinegar. it will take everything out... corrosion... old stopleak that you didn't know about...everything! But do make sure you flush it good! Really good!!!!
Did you leave it in the radiator to soak or did you just run it through the cooling system for a few heat cycles? The engine has been reconditioned, so anything in the cooling jackets has been boiled out.
