  • Hey Man my name is Andrew, I'm down in Tucson. Do you prefer the hemi or magnum swap? My big project is my 62 Chrysler New Yorker Wagon. I would like to do an epic coast to coast road trip in it in a couple summers and I'm really concerned about reliability and fuel mileage which leads me to some sort of injected motor swap.
    Thanks man.
Badass71. I'm doing a magnum swap now. I'm swapping a 1998 5.9 in a 1989 dodge truck. I'm using the original 98 engine harness along with its power distribution box. But that's it. I have everything installed and I'm stuck. Main positive and negative from power distribution box is hooked up and I'm having problems finding a skematic to tell me which wires will be start ,constant and starter wire.

Any help is much appreciated. Sorry last pm was more than 420 characters
how hard was it to put the RT hood on your car? I have a 72 duster and was wondering how you did it?
    Hey mate
Nice looking turbo set up. Can I ask you what heads your running and what's done to them. And are you using hydraulic lifters and factory rockers.
can't quite see the manifold on my phone but looks like a duel plain.
is that an aussie car in the states?
    Thanks
Hey buddy! I'm about to throw the 98 magnum 5.9 in my car. I had a question about the 02 sensors, on the donor vehicle there is one before and one after the cat. Did you put the front o2 in an H pipe? I don't have an H pipe yet so I was wondering if I could just throw it in one side (i doubt it) but I wanted to check with you. Any help is awesome!
hey buddy you still into making hoods? i might have a challenger hood i would like put as yous on my scamp.. or dart.
Great information! Thank you very much. I guess I need to find a brazilian charger r/t!
Shipping from US to Oz is around $3k so I assume it'd be the same the other way. Then you need to factor in whatever customs, import, quarantine duties or whatever else is applied at your end.

    E49s pull the biggest price.Then E38s.
Then E55,E37 and E48 all seem to pull around the same money.Say $50k - $60k for nice ones.
E37s and E48s were detuned versions of E38s and E49s
E55s weren't really a sporty model. They were more a luxury businessman's hotrod much in the same vein as ,say,an SE challenger and were all 340/727 powered.

    Here's a link to an E38 which,if it's genuine,seems like not a bad price.
The pics will show you what they are.

I'm not familiar with the Brazilian cars but no,Aussie Chargers were not similar to 67-69 darts.

Aussie chargers were introduced in 1971 and ran through to 1978.
They were a short wheelbase coupe based on the VH series Valiant which is not common to any bodywork you have in the US.
The basic platform is,however, not too much different from your 67-76 A-bodies.

The R/Ts were 1971 and 72 only and sported the 265ci 6cyl with triple 45DCOE webers pumping out 302bhp.
The R/Ts are desirable and collectible (much like, say,an AAR cuda over there)and depending upon condition you would have to pay anywhere up to $200,000 for one.
A very nice R/T clone would be probably around $35k.
For $25k - $30k you can get a realy nice "ordinary" charger.
Probably around $5k - $7k for a rough project car.
Problem is,these things are popular and they have proven to be a fairly rusty model so good examples pull big $$$
