Found my dads original 1971 duster!

I believe the '71 340 pass side exhaust manifold had a center outlet which means good chance exhaust won't clear. And once exhaust pipe is on it will be much more difficult to re-orient that 90 degree adapter. My two cents its simply not acceptable having it installed completely wrong and...

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Shop needs to run the bolt out of the center of the 90 degree oil filter housing, pull housing off engine, then reinstall facing rear ward. I would order a new seal gasket kit cause builder may have skimmed RTV on gasket.

You should own a green car meme!

Original owner of my '69 he special ordered the car F3 green with green interior. Could have ordered red, blue, white ect but no he purposely ordered it to look like the green car on the cover of the '69 sales brochure. That's what he picked on purpose. Then sat around and waited for his new...

New rallye dash replacement gauges/tachs (some insider news from the supplier)

I didn't take it as throwing stones at original parts. More like they are decades old, unknown history, reliability can be in question due to age, possible abuse/neglect ect. And issues with the new parts obvious they don't fit and are unusable.

Found my dads original 1971 duster!

Surprised they didn't notice oil filter housing pointing the wrong way and corrected prior to engine install? Never seen anyone having filter pointing forward like that? But small issue that can be corrected with engine in car.

    Inexpensive paint, gun worth considering?

You need high volume hose couplings in your air hose lines and a compressor that can supply enough air volume. Otherwise those HVLP guns won't atomize the paint.

    Inexpensive paint, gun worth considering?

I had good luck spraying 2k paint in engine compartments with Harbor Freight detail guns, the one that comes in the two gun kit. The cheaper Harbor Freight guns have worked great for me but after some use they tend to crud up won't come completely clean throw out get another one. I have a...

Tunnel is tall all the way back where that side to side hump is in the floor. A TKX is a lot smaller. Yeah may be able to modify bench seat frame to clear the bigger tunnel.

I would stay away from Passon. If you don't want a Tremec buy an OD trans from Brewers. Brewers has a rock solid reputation.
