How Do I Adjust A Subwoofer For Best Sound?

Might take some experimenting then, play songs you know the bass really well and play with it until it sounds right. If some of the notes go missing or quieter then there might be a gap in the frequency and the crossover set too low.

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

These cars are 50++ years old. Were they ever in a accident? How many motor swaps, like the OP here states a BB was in his car using elephant ears. So much to consider, and no way to make a header to compensate for all entire history of the car.

I know it does. I'm just messin with you. As long as there are still good parts for the Mopar ignition, that's how I'm goin.

340 Oil Priming Question First Start

My concern was a novice trying to align, put the rockers pushrods back in correctly, and the "why are some taller than others" valve spring questions . I was good till you got to taking rockers off. Carry on .

    Any Pertronix experts here?

It works so nice, and simple. @318willrun showed me how to set these up 2 years ago. Have been a big fan ever since. I figured it out that you need to run the straight 12 volt powered E-Coil for the hotter spark instead of the tower coils, while I was doing the test runs on the engine run...

How to ID original door glass?

These are from my 1971 Duster. The M20.7 is the door glass. The M8.6 is the rear pop out window. One door glass is marked as HERCULITE while the other door glass is marked as SAFEGUARD.

340 Oil Priming Question First Start

Must be one loose motor to have to run drill for 2 minutes. Like @abodyjoe said, I've never even used a drill. I just turned the pump drive with a hex rod and small ratchet by hand. At the right position...gush. If all is assembled correctly it should easily oil.

Doug's headers not fitting - frustration

The factory k frames and frame rail tolerances are very sloppy with these cars. Thats why TTI publishes engine placement specs. Cause if engine not located correctly side to side and height wise the headers wont fit. For my TTIs I had to add one motor mount shim on driver side and two on pass...

So you should set the sub to the same crossover frequency then.

    Jim Slusser Buyer Beware

Lol, I seriously appreciate you warning us, but I'll say it again ffs. YOU mentioned an 84 yr old dragging a pr of cyl heads back lol. And then u mentioned an airport dolly... So in my mind you were bribing senior citizens with Peek Freans and Ovaltine to haul these damned heads on a frickin...

340 Oil Priming Question First Start

Yeah, take out the 2 bolts, start the drill/(turn the key) rotate crank at least 2 rotations, - 2 geysers to the ceiling, reinstall bolts, button it up. No messing with rockers etc, jmo

Thinking of switching from M1 single plane to LD340 but LD340 would need to be milled to fit. Is it worth it?

oops, yes, 2.02. My bad! Corrected. I'd rather just keep the current M1 setup that to pull and shave the heads at this point.

340 Oil Priming Question First Start

this is far too much maths. just pop the rockers off and throw them on the bench and then lean on the starter till the engine bay, hood, fenders and floor are sufficiently covered in oil and hope that the starter lead didn't melt the jacket off and light off all the slick stuff.

I really hope you meant 2.02 intake valves in your heads... Personally, I would have the heads' manifold surfaces cut instead of cutting the manifold. That way you can run any unmodified manifold you want without having to repeatedly have manifolds remachined.

And also don't forget that you might not line up at those places, proof in the post earlier where the camshafts have different oil hole locations.

    7875 + 5.9 + E85 + Megasquirt

I’m with 85glht. When you take power out and pick up .3 and only lose 1mph that screams converter is too loose. I’d rather it be too tight and just try to smack it in the *** on the 2step to overcome it trying to drag the motor down that way you’ll have good slip numbers in high gear.

How Do I Adjust A Subwoofer For Best Sound?

I put a filter on the fronts to limit bass output since they are small and would distort easily.

This is so simple > 1995 Ford F150, 2 spade E-Coil. Straight 12 volts to the coil, no ballast resistors. Coil runs cool to the touch. Quick starts, hot sparks, plugs burn clean. Running this now on the '89 318 4 barrel conversion setup. Starts like it has fuel injection on a cold...

    [WANTED] Rallye gauge test

I happened to have a model railroad transformer, that had a rheostat that could go from 0 to 24 volts. So I set it to 12V for testing. I quickly turned it down and back up a little to see if the gauges responded. I didn't go to the trouble of trying to calibrate them, just wanted to see if they...

How Do I Adjust A Subwoofer For Best Sound?

Kool so yeah just set the filter where it sounds best to you then probably around 80-100 hz. There's probably no filter to the fronts so it is what it is for them.

Line lock help, it's making me crazy!

The proportioning valve needs to be in the rear brake line. Front brakes do most of the braking. You do not want to reduce pressure there. The rear brakes need the proportioning valve so that they do not lock up before the front. I am not saying fixing this will fix your problem, but from...

Thinking of switching from M1 single plane to LD340 but LD340 would need to be milled to fit. Is it worth it?

Hi Guys, So I'm doing a bunch of maintenance stuff on my car and have the drivetrain with front suspension out right now. My car came with an M1 intake on it and that's what I've been running for a few years (street driven) just because it was easiest affordable option at the time of my build...

    Electric guitar...

Very nice. I started playing as a junior in HS, played around for a few years really for my own amusement. I got decent enough where I can pick up songs pretty quickly, but I've always been clumsy on the strings regardless of how much I play. I had an old epi SG for a few years until moving into...
