I never considered the curve as I know the blade throws the same flow either direction. But that curve would certainly be more efficient.

Avaustin is correct in principle but if the suregrip is weak it may still rotate in the forward direction off the ground but not under load. This is why you leave one wheel on the ground. If it's holding you won't be able to turn the raised wheel. I think both parties would like to know...
